I wish I was going, but I have had a chance to view some nice customs that will be there, thanks to Don.

I love this one: 'The Beast' is a collaboration of Don Hanson and Anders Hogstrom. Don did the 15 1/2" blade with 300 layers W2, 1080, 15N20. Anders did the rest with walrus handle/sterling silver guard/pommel.

Anders is bringing 'The Beast' over from Sweden to the show. Here are a few Don will be bringing from Missouri:

Walrus bowie with a 10 1/4" 1086M blade.

Walnut bowie with a 9 3/4" 1086M blade.

Hanson Horizon Wave 3 1/2" blade folder with premium blue Siberian mammoth ivory scales.

Let's see some other work that is going to the show this week.

Don's bowies and upscale folders are superb, as always. But that collaboration beast.... holy sh^% !!  I wonder how my wife would feel about me selling her car...

Roger

They are all absolutley fantastic, but that collaboration piece is out of this world.

Thanks canine for posting and thanks to everyone for the comments. Now lets see more knives going to New York. I have a couple more to finish up but not sure if I'll have time to photogrph. Hope to see some of you there.

edit- I wanted to add, it was a pleasure working with Anders on this project, he is a class act. Also this piece is going to a great guy and we will have it photographed at the show.

Those two Hanon Bowies are a pair of the the most elegant knives I can remember. Fantastic work!

Congrats to the new owner of the Hanson/Hogstrom Bowie.:thumbup:Looking forward to the pics and what an apt name for this monster Bowie.

The other two Bowie's although not quite as large are equally stunning, his level of craft never ceases to amaze. As do his choice of materials. The best.
The same goes for that beautiful little folder.

Doug

Wow that "Beast" is an awesome lookin piece. The others are nice as well but I am really impressed by that one.

Here is another one Don has ready for the East Coast Show this weekend in New York:

very nice pics, I will be there along with some fellow Devilz!:D:thumbup:

Couple of nice folders Chuck.

Here's the last I'll post (running out of time) and it's going to a pretty good guy :p Forged W2 blade and old ivory. Looking forward to seeing some of you there. Thanks

The bowies are classy, the colaboration one is wild!
Don, that's a beautiful slipjoint! :)

Three beautiful folders posted today for the East Coast Show. Striper, I also enjoyed seeing the white pearl folder you posted last week. Great work!

Don, I am going to have to have one of those W2 slim trappers soon...they are too cool!

I saw the blade for the Beast at last years Chicago show..it was quite impressive.I happened to get lucky enough to have the opportunity to pick this one up.Both Don and Anders were/are at the top of my list of makers whos work I wanted...this one fits the bill nicely. It just might be my only knife for the year, but I think I'm ok with that.that being said....I'd sure love to get my hands on that walrus ivory bowie and the blue mammoth folder. In my eyes those are about as nice as I've seen.
As far as the Beast.I have only seen the same picture that is posted here...and this one of the handle and signatures:

I'm looking forward to handling it,and will likely post when I get it in hand

Here is a different handle angle I had. It does a good job of showing the random pattern of the blade steel with a ladder pattern in the lower portion coming up from the edge. What a great grab Habber! Let us see more of this 'beastly' knife when you can.
