I was able to get away for a couple hours yesterday to have a quick play with my new BHK knife. The weather was perfect but there were tons of little biting flies around me.

Black mustard plants are everywhere. I have heard that Franciscan monks would drop the seeds as they walked to make the trails easier to find. The leaves, flowers and young stems are all edible. They have a peppery onion flavor.

Also came across these, looked like some type of thistle

I'm really pleased with the way this knife turned out. Super stout but not heavy, hand filling handle, perfect grinds and razor sharp.

Nice leather sheath

I tried something different this time. I recorded bits and pieces of me using it, and made a funky little movie trailer. I probably will get mistaken for Spielberg after this :D Hope you enjoy.

Nice knife TK..congrats on a good looking/practical design. Mast be quite a feeling to use a knife designed by yourself. Great execution by the BHK guys.
Enjoyed the vid too....I've seen cheesier though:D

It is definitely cool to get a knife made to your specs. I have a few from different makers and they all feel great in hand and work great for me. It's fun sitting down and sketching out just what you want too. The BHK guys did a bang up job on this

That was great, really enjoyed it. Check you spelling on slices and dices..... and what are you using to create this vid?

Okay, now that I am done laughing my ass off, I can post! Thank you for the higly dramatic video T, that was great!

That pic you posted in the other thread made the knife look huge, in hand it's a totally different knife! Congrats on the sweet blade bro, I like it!

I know you were expecting Indiana Jones to swing in at any moment huh :D Yep the other pics had the blade more toward the camera so it looked like a big honkin' chopper, but it's really just slightly bigger than what I normally carry.

Made the video on a Mac with iMovie 11. They have pre made little trailers and you can just drag and drop clips, it's pretty cool.

Great post Bro

How long did it take to do that video??--very creative

Knife looks SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!

The program does most of the work. I just added the bits of video. Only took me about 10 minutes. It's pretty cool, I will have to play with it more. But I'm going to try and do more videos in the future. It's fun and maybe I can pass a skill or two along. But it was a fun way to play with my new blade :D

TKnife,

What model knife did you get from the guys at BHK, or was it a custom to your specs. They have several bushcraft looking models and was wondering if you got one those or not.

This one was a custom, I sent a sketch and they made it happen. I have been extremely impressed with Bushcrafter from them and it prompted me to get a design of my own from them. They make great blades.

Great stuff T - loved that video. Like Tonym said, seeing the knife in your hand gives it a much different perspective than the shot we saw earlier. Looks like a handy utility. I think you could have posted this one in W&SS for its outdoor content.

Hey T, are they going to add it to their line-up?

I'm not sure, but I'd be honored if they did! Like most of their other designs it's pretty simple and straightforward. I asked for 3/16ths" for added bombproofness (I think that's a word?!) But my Bushcrafter in 5/32" is plenty tough.

Thanks. With the split forums i am still unsure where to post sometimes, but I figured this leaned more towards an equipment review. I am looking forward to trying more videos and will work on showing skills. I always enjoy when guys like IAwoodsman do those, though I am nowhere near his skill level :o
