This would be of interest to ALL tomahawk fans. At these events you can buy hand forged hawks at reasonable prices, hawk sheaths, knives, period pocket knives and period clothing and accessories. At these events you can also throw your hawk at target blocks for the price of admission.
Great North American Rendezvous: April 22-April 30.
Gobblers Knob, Newville, PA
Fort Frederick Market Fair : April 22-30
Big Pool, MD
I will be at at least one of these. Just Google for details or you can PM me. I gotta pimp these events. Thanks for viewing.

I'll tell ya, these events are really worthwhile; Not so much from a martial arts perespective but for the great line of hand made weapons you see sold by these merchants. Walking around with all those people in their period outfits and talking is really like stepping back in time. For three years we support the School of The Longhunter at Pricketts Fort West Virginia by teaching longknife an tomahawk. When they changed directors over there we suddenly were not invited anymore. Guess we 'peed in the puchbowl' or made someone mad. Politics I guess. Anyhow for those three years this annual rendezvous was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. Just meeting and working with people who really try to 'live' like they did in the 18th/19th century is something unique. If you've not worn a breechclot, leggings, and moccains in the deep woods you ain't lived. Sitting by a fire at night drinking some very powerful brew and telling stories with these wonderful people will always be in my mind. Go try a Rendezvous you'll like it.

Best

it's off Rt 70 past Hagerstown
You can go dressed in modern attire, or wear garb for the day. The restored old stone fort is there. There will be plenty of high quality vendors and reenactors. Its an easy trip from Baltimore.

where can i find directions from I-70 ?
definitly interested in going!

take I-70 West to exit 12 @20 miles west of Hagerstown. It might be @ 100 miles from Baltimore, but its mostly 4-6 lane interstate at 65 MPH.
Take exit 12 onto Rt. 56. Signs are on I-70 and Rt 56. You can't miss it.
April 27-30
Thr, Fri, Sat 9-5 Sun 9-3
there is a fee @ $5
I took my GF several years ago. She does not like reenacting and that kind of stuff, but she liked Ft. Fred alot. So, you can prolly take a female and she won't be too bored.
P.S. take your wallet just in case
