Some of my favorite places! Did you go up to Crowley thru Tom's Place?

I always like to hike the fault line in the Alabama hills. They rose over 30' in less than a minute back in the late 1800's when the Lone Pine quake hit. You can still find signs of that. Good fly fishing over on the river.
