Easton was AWESOME!

I went in looking for maybe a Game Warden or SAR, what i walked away with was slightly more substantial.

I did finally got to try the cheesecake. Who knew there was even such a thing as Reece's Peanut Butter Cup cheesecake?!? Oh and there were some knives there too ;).

Seriously though I was thrilled to get to finally hold some of the legendary patterns and see what I really need to save up for next year.

Of course, I couldn't go home empty handed!! With that in mind, here is my Easton Score:

DSF with blue and black G10 and a M9CG with orange and black G10. These are both amazing blades!!! The M9 bites deep and cuts well, the DSF cuts far above its weight class. These are both outstanding knives.

My new additions inspired me to take a few quick family photos:

I'll take some more detailed pics as I get more time with them.

They had some really tempting chopweilers, but I'm holding out hope for the RMC, so i resisted. The M9CG was totally off my radar. It spoke to me immediately, i LOVE the orange and black G10 scales. Its very similar to the BMW but i find the length more appealing, I already have a B-11. It chops surprisingly well, cuts comfortably, and looks AMAZING!!!

The DSF cuts unbelievably deep for its weight. This knife blew me away, it chops like a MUCH larger knife, it cuts beautifully, and its extremely lively in the hand.

I could only play with my new toys for a little while but so far I'm extremely pleased. I'll update with more pictures soon.

Please feel free to post your Easton scores!

Thanks,
Adam

NICE MAN! I had that same color configuration M9 CG in my box, but I put it back to get the sage on tan. It will make a wicked pumpkin carver next Halloween! I think the M9 is one of the most underrated large Busse-kin blades to be released. I can't wait for a warmer day to do a review.

Excellent score, and a great looking collection

Congrats on the awesome score!!! I absolutely love the color combo of the M9....that thing ROCKS!!!!

Nice score, tatteredmidnight.
So there are some new M9s around.....
Thanks for the pix !

I broke them both in lightly chopping some nice maple deadfall.

Its starting to get cold here in NJ and is scheduled to rain, so not sure when i'm gonna get the chance to really put them through the ringer.

Hopefully soon!

I expected there to be Taz Rats, but I haven't heard of any making the trip. I didn't buy one at the last Knob Creek (well, not for myself anyway), but the more I think about them, the more convinced I am that I should have.

Quick question, what is the Desert Storm Fighter made out of? Here it says A2 but that looks like a new knife.

Either way sweet score and I really like the DSF.

Great score i really like the M-9 sweet rat. :thumbup:The current Busse DSF is made of Infi that is an early knife your looking at on that site. If you look, some of the early blades were made of different steel's. All the current Busse's are made of Infi.

Thanks for the kind words guys, I'm very pleased with the take. But now that i've seen that orange/black G10 RMD in the other M9 thread, i'm thinking i may have to have a new goal!
