Stainless hardware with Nylok nuts. (Thanks Derek).
One of the cheapest, easiest mods there is.
Keeps the harware from rusting and looks pretty classy.
Socket Head Cap screws are #10/32 x 5/8"(fine), or #10/24 x 5/8"(coarse).

I added a pouch to my sheath w/some grommets and paracord. I don't have great pix, but here is what i have:

Hey thanks guys, I'm heading to the hardware store for some paint stripper. Any tips on using the paint stripper? I understand its pretty aggresive and eats through a lot of things.

If its cold when using the stripper, put a halogen light near by. It will drastically decrease the time spent for the stripper to do it's job.

I was going to take some grips down to a local tech. school and sand blast the outer surface. I never got around to it....Take an axe file, or whatever you have that might work, and run it across the spine. When the spine is squared off you can toss huge gobs of sparks with it on a fero rod.

After doing a few blades the way I do it is I buy one of those big disposable pans (like the lasagna type pans for like .40 cents). Pair of chem resistant gloves and safety glasses (optional but nice, it burns on the skin, very annoying after a while), a couple cheap foam paint brushes, a cheap plastic scraper, cheap brush (even a toothbrush for those nooks and crannies), some paper towels, and the Klean Strip. Coat both sides really well, let it sit for 5-10 minutes then it should pretty much fall right off. Use the brush for the hard to get places, some rolled up sand paper is good for the hardware holes. Do everything in the pan, wipe off the anything you want to save after, i.e. the scraper and brush. Everything else stays in the pan, fold up the pan and boom, your done, no clean up.
P.S. get the quart or gallon of stripper, avoid the sprays they tend to splatter on things near by and eat away at them, including eyeballs.
