On my SAK, I recently took to using a wrist lanyard from a camera like this one ...
If you're of a mind to clip it to your belt loop and let the knife hang down into your pocket, you can just add a carabiner, like so:
If you want to be able to use the knife while it's clipped to your belt loop, look for a longer lanyard, one designed to hang around your neck.
And if you want the knife to be easily detachable, you could just put a carabiner on each end. So it'd be belt loop>carabiner>lanyard>carabiner>knife.
