easy open stud

Or you might be able to drill a hole and use regular studs that screw together. Check out knifekits.com or Jantz?

Back in the early 1980's Buck knives (which all respectable Harley riders packed) had a clip that went over the blade where the modern thumbstud is mounted with a tab for the thumb.

Anyone ever see them? I did and they worked really well - for how long I don't know, my Buck worked via gravity quite well, so I never bought one.

had a few of those over the years. some worked fine some not so much. I think it depends on the thickness of the knife it goes on. its good to see one again.

I wrote the seller and he still has some....Not sure if anyone has the better ones anymore, but these work...

The SMKW ones are made in Canada, of what seems to be better steel(not marked), and a bit longer and wide top with lines cut in them for added thumb grip. The cheaper ones are well worth the 10 for $20 price, and as I stated I can find the others anywhere anymore....
