I've designed a really effective protocol for making the pattern welded aesthetic radically more accessible, even for raw beginners without access to a forge, grinder, or really any knowledge on knives or steel at all. I can't go into full technical details, since I don't have the appropirate level of membership to discuss commercial activity, but I am confident that this technique will really shake up the industry. I call the technique the Surface-applied Hand-rendered Alloy Replication Pattern Imitation Effect (SHARPIE) treatment. With the right technique, you can reproduce any pattern—raindrop, ladder, even intricate canister mosaics—without the time commitment of developing skill, or the danger of being in the vicinity of hot metal.
