Easy sheathing? Tossing the JUNK!

My current interest is in building up a small collection of EDC pocket fixed blades. I've got a TOPS Sparrow Hawke on the way, and one of these days I'll get enough together to get a Graham Brothers Razel, sigh. (They of a mid-tech version coming out soon, maybe then.) But I realized that I already have one perfect little cheapie that would work great, if it had a better sheath.

It is a CRKT Carson F4, great little design, very straight forward, no superfluous stupidity. But the sheath is absolute *&%^&$!!! Cheap, oversized, clunky, bulky . . . . . did I mention cheap!

So, I'm looking to make, or have made a small, slim pocket sheath for it.

I probably have the manual, and tool skills to make a kydex sheath. I need a few design and supply tips.

Or any suggestion to a leather worker who could do a simple fold-over with a pocket clip, would be appreciated.

If you have the manual and tool skills to do kydex, you have the skills to do leather too... I've made a few simple sheaths and it's not all that hard, epecially if function is your utimate goal....

Related to your collection, not necessarily your question. You might be interested in the AG Russell Woodswalker - comes with a nice leather pocket sheath. Also, the AG Russell Hunter's Scalpel with the quick-release hard sheath.

I have the skills, but probably not the tools, for leather . . . I might be able to do it. I'm a carpenter, so most of my tools are geared closer to kydex then leather.

I have looked at the Wookswalker, I'm considering it.

Kit makes a decent kydex sheath for the f4... his own custom model has the same lines as the crkt and fits right on there.

few bucks but well worth it for the slim sheath.

Eric Noeldechen("Normark", O/ST) could do it but he's been swamped the last little while.

As much as I respect your opinion and lova ya(It's a guy thing, not a gay thing) :)

I completely disagree with you on he leather thing...
I make a decent kydex rig, but leather....That takes some skill, skill I don't have..

I can make you a nice little rig for the F4 with a G-clip for you....
