Hi guys!

Some weeks ago i made this small piece of kydex and fitted it to my Izula for low ride belt carry.
Have tested it for 2 weeks now and it works like a charm.

It sure doesnt look pretty, but its very functional.

It is both belt "clip" and a number 2 lock for the blade, it cant come out by accident with this setup, secure as hell!

Its simply just a strip of kydex which is bent in both ends and is held in place by the paracord wrapping around the sheath.

So when you want to use it can you just pop the top hook free and let it slide down and hang from your belt, or do you have to take the whole set-up off your belt first?

Nice creative thinking.

I like it in theory, but could see how some people wouldn't like the attachment to have to totally come off the belt to get the knife. I think that it is a great way to hang your knife like that and is probably easy to take off.

Once you disengage the lock/clip, does it wobble around or does it stay put pretty well?

I'm trying this for now to see if it works:

I'm not sure is the Kydex will be strong enough, and I'd prefer a bit more cant -
but I like the ease of removing it from my belt. Not as quick to grab, but I guess time will tell if this is a viable option for me...

When i pull the knife out, the sheath remains in it postition, if you have the belt rather tight. I was thinking about adding another strip of kydex on the back of the other one so it creates a belt loop. Which will be more secure.
But ive used this for 2 weeks and it hasnt failed on me yet. I used .093 kydex.

looks good. I actually have one of shotgunners sheaths and I wear it upside down on my belt. easy to draw and stays in the sheath pretty good. the only problem is I've had it come out if I sit awkwardly, but I just have to be careful and check to make sure it is still there.

Good idea, it is great to inovation at work. Heck, if it isn't perfect the first time keep on plugging. Thanks turbo.
