I recently purchased a sterile EB-S from Vinnie Palucci. First off, it was a real pleasure dealing with Mr. Palucci; the deal was great and the service was great. My thanks go out to Mr. Palucci.

This blade is fantastic for conealed carry. I got it mainly to deal with stray dogs in my neighborhood when I am not packing a small handgun, and I didn't want to have to deal with opening a folder. I took off the tek-lok, and without it, the sheath (w/blade) slips right into the front pocket of my pants very comfortably. It is very flat. With a t-shirt pulled over, it is totally concealable. I can take my kids to the park, school, etc., do pull ups at the bars, and have the comfort of a nice little fixed blade. It is not as bulky and heavy as a small handgun; thus, it is more convenient when I am exercising.

The grip on this thing is outstanding. I can see how it is easy to hold onto this blade even with sweat, water, blood, etc., all over the handle. To me, this is vital.

Thanks again to the Strider guys for making such a great product. This blade is top-notch in every regard.

hey that's really cool. the EB looks like a good series.

how do you deploy it?

I took off both the tek-lok and the screw in the sheath. Thus, the sheath fits about as loosely as possible. In my front jeans pocket, I lay my hand on the blade and pop it out of the sheath with my thumb. It comes out easily and quickly. It is a comfortable, flat carry in my pocket. It gives me about the same angle of draw as if I was packing a handgun in the 1:30 position.

Carrying the blade in my Levis pocket, the butt of the handle sticks out an inch or so. But with a loose shirt pulled over, it is totally concealed. Since I live in CA there are problems with packing a concealed, fixed blade. However, if I ever had to use it and the cops came on the scene, I would explain to them that the blade was not comncealed, as I had my shirt tucked in at the outset of the melee; and that during the course of the melee, my shirt came out. With a tucked in shirt, and a pair of jeans, like I said, the butt of the handle sticks out a little.

In short, this is an awesome fixed blade for concealed carry.

I have an EBS and love it as well. I have not used it much though. I do practice with it a lot. I came back form Bodycote not long ago and is nice and dark. It also got bead blasted and now has not markings on it.

You might try a static cord deployment if you are carrying it your pocket.

Good luck with the EBS.

Thanks. It is a sweet little blade, isn't it? ;) I'll bet it looks good in Bodycote.

Hi Ad, just wanted to give you an inexpensive option for CC. If you call the Strider shop, for a few bucks you can get one of their inside the waist band velcro loops. I did this with my HT, and it works great. I just slide the holster inside my pants about at 3 o'clock position (where my pistol rides when I carry)and secure the loop around my belt. An un-tucked shirt covers it up, and your good to go. I carry mine for a reverse grip draw. Hope this helps, Reagan

Thanks for the heads up. I'll contact Strider. By the way, I was thinking about getting an HT. Does it make for a comfortable, easy concealed carry? It's a good looking knife.

Ad, the HT is a great all around design! Mine came with the SOE sheath, and I sent it in for a kydex from the shop. I usually use the kydex sheath all the time, but have the SOE for backpacking. Its small enough to conceal, yet big enough for field use. I think its about the same lenth as you EB-S. It has the spine serrations which work great as a small branch saw. It also has a nice choil. I love the design. HT owners will probably back me up. It was comments from other owners that convinced me to get one. Hope this helps, Reagan
