I have inured myself to most of the mistakes made either on purpose or accidentally and really find them kind of amusing. Of course I also get a kick out of the clever titles on the spam emails that keep coming in and that I never open. Now here is a person ( 6603596096 ) who I really feel just does not know whas up wit dat. Just fun to look at. They write these things as though it were gospel. I like the one last week on Press button Schrade and Presto. This person rewrote history just to make a convienient niche in history for his knife to fit into. Not that it is very important but how many mistakes can a person make in one sentence even a run on sentence. Amazing oh well ,it is also possible to make giant mistakes in a very few words ( Often those words were I DO. ). LT

How about this one? 6603995060 The very last LB7! ;) I can't begin to imagine what it's worth! Oh yes, and it's thought to have been made in the 70s.

Dave

Well done and Just amazing. These definitely need to be pointed out. Just for laughs. Thanks LT

Thats the best 5 bucks you spent in a while.I think I'll take lessons from Phil.He needs to do a CD to sell on the bay. Can't wait till he logs in.Toby

Here is one I just saw.I'm glad to know that both Larry and I have these one of a kind prototypes. When I bought mine it was advertised as white.I came on here to ask about them and ever since they've been special.Toby#6605237658

I have 152 blade blanks I guess each one is a prototype waiting to happen. What was PT Barnums saying you can fool some of the people some of the time but you can't fool all of the people all of the time. I guess on ebay if you can fool some of the people ( with the amount of people on ebay ) the chances are you can make a sale.

Things do happen strangly at times, glad it brought you aboard. LT

Edited: Even though the ebay ad was bogus, I dont wanna call attention to my other stuff-- against the rules.

now let's get serious and help out the guy seeking a montgomery ward 'Lance' knife. He's a first time visiter and we don't want him to get the wrong idea about us.

LT.. hope you are well supplied, be careful digging yerself out this morning.

Here's a good one, this is a current listing for a Schrade Walden #163 rope knife. The description in the listing states that it's, "been sharpened a few times:"

For those not familiar with the knife, this is what a full or nearly full blade looks like:

Ah thats a dandy Redshanks. Phil it is good to see that I am not the only one who has lost their mind. The storm really just missed us I would guess 4 inchs however 100 miles away in the big apple central park broke the old record by a half an inch almost 27 inchs. Keep them coming I really get a chuckle out of them. There will be some dandys which will be completely wrong and not done in jest those are great. LT

In that case, we must not forget this recent gem. From the new manufacturer of Genuine Schrades!

Phil,

Your sense of humor was certainly in fine form for that listing. I am quite impressed that you even squeezed in the Maids of Ellenville. I cannot understand why you haven't received a copius number of bids for these legendary thongs. People just don't seem to recognize real value in collectables anymore. :D

Bill

P.S.
Just as a heads up guys...
I'll probably be listing the "Sandbar Bowie" next week...I'm just finishing up the patina...er, ah, touching up the sheath, right now.

Strange about those last two redshanks... they could stand on their own as collectibles.

Yep, "made by God" was a good one.

This is a fun thread.
