Man, what's up with all the Ebay Busses?

A satin HOFSH just ended at $1,000

And there is a Jungle Assault SHBM listed right now and the starting bid is low:eek:
It will be interesting to see hw high it will go. Everytime I see that blade I am glad I will not sell mine and makes me want to figure out how I can get my other one that I traded, back

I'm cheesed that people do the Dan Douquette form of bidding. (Dan was the GM of hte Red Sox that said one year. . .that he finished SECOND to the Yankees, "We spent more days in first place than any other team." Big deal, Dan. The only day that counts is the day AFTER the season ends.)

Anyways, why do people want to be the BEST bidder with 5 days to go? Is it some sort of happytime for them? I'd be happier WITH THE KNIFE! STOP BIDDING UNTIL NEAR THE AUCTION END!!!!!!! Overpayment almost ALWAYS occurs because of this. (Note: People are free to do so if I ever Ebay any knives. LOL)

That and the people that see a $400 knife at $0.99, bid $10, then $12 b/c someone outbid them.

I would assume most people bid what they think they can afford. Truth is if I were to bid, I would wait until the last hour and then lace my max bid and go to sleep.

I prefer to sell here rather than Ebay, but do to unforseen circumstances, I had to list some there......so, my opinion right now is BID HIGH AND BID OFTEN! ;)

I tried for that, but my high bid wasn't NEARLY high enough... And I'm sort of glad that it wasn't. Too high... What was the orginal price of the HOGFSH?

I don't recall the knife on Ebay (and I'm too lazy to go look), but a HOGFSH with satin and black canvass mags was offered at $537 during the 10/2005 Knob Creek Extravaganza.

Like others, I will visit that auction site of which we do not speak.

I will sometimes bid on a knife that is priced low to help the item move toward its final purchase price.

I often imagine it is one of my fellow forumites that I am helping in my bidding activity. :)

Of course I am always happy to purchase the item if my bid remains the highest. :D

I started mine (at what I think was) the initial selling price .... If people choose to pay me a lot of money for them, i'm not going to stop them :)

A big reason why they're so high right now is because of the game wardens and the battle mistress's..

When times were slimmer on new models - there wasn't this kind of price hike present. The more people you have who are aware of busse's knives on the internet (specifically here and on ebay), the higher the prices you are likely to see.

:D

LOL

I did taht once. A few hours to go. THe price for whateveritwas was WAAAAY too low. I felt bad for the seller. It was just one of those Ebay holes where no one was bidding on that specific item.

So I bid just to push it NEAR reasonable price. Still a great discount for the top bidder, but a better price for the seller. I thought I was doing someone a favor. . . I wound up winning the knife.

Sadly, I forget what piece of INFI it was or if I even still have it. It might have been my Mud Razor . . . and I really like that knife so I'm happy I did it. :)

Screw E-bay and their rip-off fees. Get a gold or platinum membership and sell here, support the forums.

I will never use them to sell, but I won't refuse a bargain price on something I really want. Besides, there is a great deal of vintage Italian moto stuff available nowhere else. I couldn't maintain my bikes without eBay.

Oooh, that JASHBM is sweet.

this one? so whose is it. There was less than 15

How many SATIN with snakeskin scales HOG FSH's/ HOFSH's do you see come up for sale here on the forums? How many on Ebay? Jaxx just paid like what..$850.00 or around there for a HOGFSHLE # 27 that was slightly used. I happen to love the HOGFSHLE and the SATN HOFSH's. Who has any for sale for $600.00? Let me know, as I would like to buy some. I also want one with satin and black paper. Fact is no one is selling these knives, let alone selling them for $600.00. It might be that maybe no one wants to sell to me. I bought the knife in question and I paid what I felt it was worth. I have a job that I work nights at so I couldnt wait until the last minute to bid. The guy selling that knife even had a buy it now, and the opening bidder started with the opening bid instead the BIN-thanks whoever! Even if one became available for sale who knows if you could even buy it before someone else does. :)

hey, if YOU are happy, then nothing else matters. it looks to be GORGEOUS, and CONGRATS. It'll be worthy, I'm sure, I'm just glad I didn't go higher... Maybe I shoud've said pricey for ME. BTW, I took those crappy images the seller displayed and worked 'em GOOD, I think that you'll be satisfied. :)
Also, for $810 mine did come with a schuweet LeatherHog dangler sheath included, but cost me $30 for shipping from Denmark. :)

BTW, HK, I wrote that on my new mobile phone, so please, any 'tude you may think was directed at you, really wasn't! :D

Except...
