anybody else see these for sale on ebay? seem like a real familiar shape to me:eek: Supposedly from a custom shop in Utah!! oh well I guess imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
 
I wonder what steel they are made of? If only they were actually made of Infi, I would snap them up and make my own "custom" shop knives (of course they would be super ugly, but hey, they would be made of infi)

I just found them on ebay. I have emailed the seller. These are a complete rip-off of our design and if we find out who made them, they will have a very bad day. :grumpy:

ALL Steel Heart blanks are made in our shop in Wauseon, OH.

Here's my favorite part of the description, "I put a magnet to them and one sticks lightly." That would indicate that they are made out of something very unusual, like a 300 series stainless. The rust on the blades seems to contradict this. So, they appear to be made out of junk steel as well. . . .

The seller has already sold 2 pair of these. I have to wonder how many they have?

It's bad enough to get knocked off from overseas, but to have it happening in the U.S. is really sad. :thumbdn:

JMO... But if these are the right size, Jerry, it looks like the "maker" might have a ASH- SE, took the grips off and cookie cutted those fakes out... Could have dozens +??? :grumpy:

though if they don't comply, I'm sure ebay would be willing to do something about it considering the direct infringement...


edit: I see that jokre won the last auction... I'm sure he can help you out with that then...

I have it at 30 (can't really afford more then that). If jerry presents his case to ebay, I doubt that ebay will allow them to be sold on the site. if companies are willing to make a hubbub ebay is generally willing to pull auctions and take action against obvious repeat offender sellers.
 
What about the other auction sites? it's going to be hard to get him so he don't flood the market. i'm new but wouldn't sell someone else design. .
but he has a taste of money.
