Tital says all. Looks like a good deal, I'm not a BM guy. I have no idea who's selling it, I saw it and ran over here to call in the Hogs.

Winmagfrog - It didn't last long - I couldn't help myself... :D

Thanks, Bro! This will ease the pain of not getting one of the BM's during the Extravaganzaaaa. No regrets there, though - I did score nicely. I owe you one!!
Thanks again,
Bruce

(Sorry Galaxytech! - I even beat one of the fastest guys on the draw - Randucci!)

Sold, used, for $350. Just think what it what have sold for in pristine condition.

I'm convinced that the BMs are true collector items that have nowhere to go but up, up, up.

Man you Hogs are fast! I didn't even get a chance to sniff the auction:grumpy:

nice snag,,

btw,,, was it an E-Handle Mistress ?

if you snagged a Striaght Handle Mistress for that price,,,I'm gonna cut my computer off and go on to bed :D

Yeah, it's an E handle. A SHBM is on my list, but I doubt I'll ever get THAT lucky to get one at such a deal.

yep,,that would have been a heck of a deal if it had been a SHBM.

I think i paid around 550.00 for mine a few years back(mint), but I dont think i could bring myself to ever selling her,it is defenitly one of my favorite Busse's

The SHBM is definitely a classic Busse for many folks, both users and collectors. I bought a used SHBM about 3 1/2 years ago (for more than they sold for new before they were discontinued). I have used it quite a bit, and could probably sell it for more than I paid. Even though the finish is badly scuffed and worn, it could be refinished and would look like new again.

thats one of the great things about a Busse knife,,, you can usually always sell it and either get your money back or get more for it,, you never loose with these Knives, whether it be resale or performance.

I have been wanting a SHBM for a user, but mine is a safe queen and will probably never be used.

out of all my Busse's I only have two that are users, that is my SFNO and an Assault Shaker, my SFNO is my hard core "beater", I use it when i am out on my 4 wheeler out in the bush and use it on my camping trips, it is great for light chopping of branches for the camp fire and clearing trails,, but usually i find myself needing a heavier blade for more demanding work and i have been looking for a SHBM for just that purpose, I have seen a few pop up here and there but seem like they always pop up at the wrong time for me or someone usually beats me to the sale:D

Broos,
What was the location of the seller?
I had one stolen from my car and have been watching for it to show up.
Just curious.
Congrats on the buy.

I considered pulling the trigger so it was in my "Watching" list...

Bad business, but I doubt this one was it.

Unless there's an evil Busse smuggling syndicate with routes that run from New Hampshire to California.

Given the resale value of Busses, however, it could be possible.

Waitaminute! I bet PORKERSON is involved!!!
