Tried to warn the bidder, but the sumbitch uses private auction.
 
I have an E-bay user name that I *never* use. Maybe I should bid way up there to expose this clown, what do you think?

I understand this being reported to ebay, but isn't a crime being commited here.
Shouldn't this be reported to an appropriate law enforcement agency?

I see the ebay auction has ended. I have not received anything back from e-bay,, have you Rhett ?? I'm just trying to help you out here..:(
 
Just for smiles and piles, I sent the crook/seller an email as soon as this thread was started. Not surprisingly, I have received no reply. I didn't even call him/her any names. I simply asked how they could be selling the same knife that Rhett has listed elsewhere. :barf: :mad: :barf: :mad:
 
Good news: Although this listing had a 'winning' bidder, he happened to be a friend of mine and sent me the news of his fantastic good fortune. HUH!!!!! :eek: He was suspicious of the seller as you folks are, as he received a note with NO address or contact, asking him to send the money via Western Union. He contacted the seller with his suspicions and chased me a note for my opinion. Glad he did!

I believe he has to have a Credit card listed with e-bay to list
in the first place..
e-bay should have his addy on file..
if the wasn't bogus too. :barf:
 
I'm happy no one got swindled here but this is a crook cought red handed. He has likely commited similar frauds in the past and will likely commit frauds in the future.
He must be aprehended and punished. Just because we weren't hurt doesn't mean we shouldn't care that other people likely have been and others likely will be in the future.

they don't like messing with 3rd party complaints much.
so if Rhett hasn't contacted them. well what can I say..:confused:

his computer IP# back to his computer, or the CC he registered with also
if they have a mind to..if the info he gave signing up was false too.
