I think I have been ripped off by a seller on ebay. This person advertised the item with priority mail. After a week of nothing, I have contacted the person by email twice inquiring as to when he mailed the knife. I have heard nothing from this person. What can I do to get a response and/or get my money back plus postage?
Thanks:mad:

zonaman,
did you review the seller's rating prior to bidding? I have a similar situation with three knives won on ebay. I'm 2 weeks out on one and although the seller had a great rating there were a few prior shipping/non communication problems. Just got a message that he'd been out of town and knife had been returned to him by postal service. I'm not sure I believe the story but he's apparently made good in the past so, regardless of the story, I'm not panicking. I had sent him 3 or 4 emails with no reply and no initial communication from him. I reviewed ebay's (and paypal's) complaint policy and after something like 14 days you can file a complaint. I resisted that and sent one final email to the seller suggesting that I had not received the knife and that I'd like a refund if he is unable to send. His first reply followed soon after. I think memorial day weekend got in the way and he just didn't get around to sending. If seller has a good rating, keep emailing politely and save copies in case you have to file with ebay.

BTW - I am also a retailer and 3 weeks ago I sent a priority package to a customer here in northern california - just 40 miles away. She just got it yesterday!

relax and wait at least another week. here in Canada it takes 3 to 4 weeks for an ebay knife to arrive. ebay sellers have other responsibilities too, like maybe a sick child to care for, or whatever, and cannot attend to their ebay businees for a few days. if nothing in another week, ebay has a dispute resolution system, including "did not receive item". you have about a 99% chance that the situation will be resolved satisfactorily.
