The little axe is my plunder from the recently past NYCKS.
Cast D2 from Master Smith PJ Tomes. 13" long, 4 1/2" edge to edge, 2 1/4" cutting edge all in a 13 1/2 ounce package.
Cool eh?
The title is a reference to the outdoor author Nessmuk, who used a slipjoint (moose pattern) small fixed blade and small double bit axe. Different tools for different jobs
All of the pieces in the photo are D2 steel.
I can't wait to get the axe out in the woods.
Heck, I can't wait to get me back in the woods!
