Anyone have any experience with the Eberlestock Halftrack pack.

I am especialy curious about the durability of the zippers and the packs in general.

I like the pack in the pics. And have heard some excellent reviews of their packs. But would like a bit more info before purchasing one.

I've had one for sometime now and it's a great ruck. Well built, carries nice etc.
The only downsize is it's size. It's too big for a day pack yet too small for extended trips. Kind of a ruck for warmer weather. I've used it on a few overnighters. It held a bag and the regular gear, it looks bigger from the outside then what the inside will hold.Being a panel loader it's to be expected.
I ike the setup as far as outside pockets and the ability to slide an axe between them, just an odd size is all.

Thanks Harpoon!! I'm between one of the Halftracks or the new Terminator.

How do the zippers hold up?

Wild mike, it is my turn to help you out!! Email me off line if you want more info as my son is an Eberlestock stocking dealer and knows this gear forward and backwards. Anyway my son and I both bought the G4 Operator last year. Best pack I've ever owned. Hardcore, well designed, and extremely well constructed. I've intentionally overstuffed the pack once to check its seams and zippers integrity. I can't say a one time test means much but it held without any detection of potential problem. I'm impressed with it so far.

I really appreciate the harness as it fits me extremely well. It is heavier than an REI type ultralight but they serve a different mission.
