Hey folks,

Any of you using or have any first hand experience with Eberlestock's X2 pack?

I am looking for a small pack that is capable of expanding up to a 3-day or spartan week back.
Also like to have the ability to haul odd shaped loads.

I saw one of these in an outdoor store recently and it looked nice. Small when you want small, but quite expandable when need be. In my searches it seems there is not much out there on it. Some say not good for taller folks. I'm short so not an issue for me. Other statements were not as comfy as a Kifaru with an elk quarter in it. I am also ok with that.

I know the MR Crew is a nice pack too. Just not wanting to spend that much at the moment.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
LV,

I have one, also have a blue widow. The x2, is more of a day pack, capable of carrying enough for a 2 or 3 day trip. It will haul some heavy loads pretty well. I have loaded a rear elk quarter on it, just to see how it handled it. I liked the load carrying of it, more than that of my blue widow, which is supposedly designed for hauling heavy loads. Its it good durable pack, worth buying in my opinion. It will last a hell of a long time.

Rodriguez7,

Thanks for the valuable info. It just looks like a slick little pack. I had an early Blue Widow, didn't rock my boat.

Good to hear yours is holding up well too.

I used an X2 for a couple years. It is one of the most comfortable packs I have owned. The weight distribution is about perfect and it will carry a lot of stuff. I believe I had the Butt Bucket on mine also.

Well made and carry a great warranty (that you won't use)
