This is the fanciest knife I have made. I went with the whole feather/ wing motif. It sort of reminds me of the Harley Davidson logo. It will go with me to Boise. It is 1080/15n20 feather pattern with a wrought iron butt cap. Again I want to Bruce Bump and Kevin Casey for their feather tutorials, and for Jim Cooper's light box. I would not being doing anything like this without all the generous sharing of knowledge. I hope to repay the favor in the future. The handle is ebony I believe, when I bought it the fellow thought it was bocote but I still lean toward ebony. Overall length is 17", the sharp part is 9 1/2" and the width is 1 3/4". Hope you like it. Thanks for looking. Todd Miller

VERY nice indeed Todd! GREAT sculpting work, especially where the tang fits into the handle.

That feather damascus looks wicked! I also like the sculpting, reminds me of Gerhard Wieland's work.

Todd, thanks for the mention.
Gorgeous knives you are doing lately. This one is amazing.
See you in Boise?

Thanks all. I look forward to meeting everyone in Boise too, I am going to try and change the oil in the car for the big trip. Bruce, thanks for the compliment but I should clarify that these are new pictures but I have been working on the knives themselves for the last year. And goeytek, I do really like Gerhard Wieland's work and I try not to mimic it too much-Todd

Todd that is a magnificent Knife! I too admire Gerhard Wiesland's work and your work is right up there with his. Thanks for sharing with us and mentioning my tutorial- glad it helped you out a bit- kc :thumbup::thumbup:

Kevin, thanks for the compliment especially seeing what you do. But every time Wieland posts a knife I feel like he keeps raising the bar- Todd
