2 more shots of the ebony mink

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... How's the pull? My Furtaker's clip blade is a bear to open.

The ebony on this one looks really cool Dennis. I'm used to seeing it as almost all black. I didn't notice that the bolsters were pinched on the pic in the other thread either. It's nice to see GEC coming out with these new patterns and not just doing different blade variations on the same few frames.

Nice compact muskrat, Dennis! I like the variation in the ebony also.
I think we are going to see some nice variations on that serpentine "mink" pattern!

Now that really does resemble a Traditional folder of days gone by.
I don't know length (4 1/4" ?), but shrink it down to 3 1/2", with boldly swaged Master Clip and Pen or Wharncliffe secondary, and we'd have a fine Traditional Pen knife.
We need more high end Pen knives !

Love the pinched bolsters and the warm highlights in the ebony really make it handsome.

If I read this right you are not sure, so you will be happy to know that the Mink is listed as being 3 1/2" closed Roland. Now we just have to wait and see if they do any blade variations.
I would like to see this one in the Clip/Wharnny combo myself, with the Wharnny being shorter like a Pen blade.

Thanks Flymon, i thought the "Mink" as on a larger frame. I'm pleased to hear that it hopefully might be a Pen knife. i.e. as asked above, 1 spring or 2.

I read in a post from Mike Latham on another forum that this will be offered as a Jack in the future (very near future I hope) so I am assuming 2 springs.
I am sure Dennis will enlighten us when he checks back in.

2 springs fellows & as all the newer models , opens like silk.
dennis i'm not sure the ebony will be a cataloged model

Dennis, That's a nice "lil" rat!! lol I didn't know those were 3 1/2" closed! I assumed they were longer. Thanks for showing a good picture. That just changed my ming about them!! That's a perfect size for me.

I've been eyeing the "Mink" pattern for a couple of weeks now. Very nice. Can we see a side shot of the springs and/or the closed blades?

Thanks Dennis
