5" blade 10" OAL
1/16" CPM-S30V w/ ebony scales
Brass corby bolts

Sandblasted finish and sanded bevel. I got the idea from a knife I saw in the kitchen gallery. It had an "as-forged" spine and only the bevel was ground. Since I think the blasted finish looks good on S30V I tried something similar. This has a crisp, clear line on the bevel. This is the first knife I've done that didn't have a convex or full flat grind. It's hard getting a nice clean line on such thin steel.

The handle, however, turned out great. It feels like factory made plastic(I think that's a good thing). I did 8 layers of CA sanding to 400 grit after the first 6 and 1000 after the last 2. Then I buffed with tripoli and it really shines!

I didn't make a matching cutting board because The Woodsmith Store doesn't have ebony in large enough pieces to make an end-grain board.

This knife is going to Dave Larsen.

Nice lookin little knife! That handle is super nice, just make sure the new owner doesn't let it get put in the dishasher thinking it is plastic!

Hey, they look good. So is the edge the only bevelled part, a bit like a scandi? I wouldn't mind getting a sand blaster,
