Okay,

I was looking at the ebt and the eblt and the dimensions are listed as the same, but some people have said the "l" in eblt stands for large. Are the posted dimensions wrong or is that statement wrong? I can obviously see the extra fingerhold in the choil, but i was curious as to any possible size difference. Thanks

I have an EBLT and I believe the only difference is the extra finger choil that is sort of between the handle and blade, but the actual handle and blade lenghts on the two knives is about the same. I went with the longer one in part due to Nyeti's review about what a tight, secure grip you could get when choking up into the second choil and in part because they had one with a tanto blade in stock when I called and only spear point in the short. Nyeti was right, there is no way this baby will leave your hand unless you just let go. I love mine.

Oh,

I get it now, they're measuring the blade only by the cutting edge. The metal sticking out from the handle is longer overall. But the cutting edge is the same. Am i getting it right now?

The double finger grip works great for what this knife was designed for-pure CQB. I used the proto tanto ELB-L during a hardcore 3 day edged weapons conference, and it was an incredible performer. I am glad others are finding the same thing. The guys have done some great improvements on this knife and the carry systems. I would highly recomend the larger model.
