Mine made an unscheduled cross country trip, CA to FL. Thank goodness it ended up in 'good' hands with Ida and Larry B. at BladeArt Inc. Ida has ensured homeward express trasit. I can't wait!

man, thats a really nice emerson. is it true they can not be sharpened unless ya send to EKI to do it because of the zero grind blade???? i heard that somewhere or another, is it true?? a cool knife nonetheless, i gotta get one , have been waiting patiantly for my CQC8/C2 surefire from TAD, now i hear late sept

is worth it though, am gonna get a persian also as soon as TAD gets them, right now ya gotta be a member of the ECA, right??

again, great knife, wicked looking imho

Greg,

You can only get the satin finished Persian shown in the pictures by being a member of the ECA.

It is possible to resharpen a zero ground edge, I do this on a semi-regular basis with my CQC6 - it does take some practice. I think the basis for the comments I have seen has been a worry about sharpening with the curve of the blade.

Regards,

Ed

yes, that is what i heard, the curves would make it difficult...just wondered, if hard to sharpen, would be more a collector than user for me.......

BUT

could this just be another inflated claim of emersons being impossible to sharpen?????ie- have heard its impossible to get a SOCFK/CQC7 tanto razor sharp,w/the chisel grind edge, which i know is false lol

SIFU1A,
I can sharpen a zero grind without a problem, but I aint touching this one. Its going to go back if it ever needs it.
