Below are pics of knives I'll be taking to New York this week. I have one more hunter coming back from Paul Long that I will post on Tuesday.

Thanks for looking.

Folding damascus dagger gold inlayed by Steve Dunn. Tortoise shell windows in addition to a damacus window. The blade is the same exact piece of damascus that is in the window but the blade was just drawn out longer in my rolling mill.

Carved Ivory Push Dagger

Inpired by Larry Fuegen who is the best maker alive today, carved ivory push dagger with 18k gold domed pins and file work. Sheath by Paul Long.

Engravers delight
This folder has stainless steel bolsters ready for engraving and white mammoth ivory scales ready for scrimshaw. The back bar already has a running leaf engraved on it by Rick Dunkerley.

All just stunning, Josh. I wish I were still on the East Coast so I could see them in person.

And as far as picking role models, Fuegen and Schmidt are pretty hard to beat. And we already all know about your tutelage under Rick.

Truly amazing, Josh, and every one of them
a whole world of its own!!

The Push Dagger, by the way, is one of the most beautiful
of its kind I have seen - mainly due to its asymmetric design!

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Some exquisite knives Josh. Exceptionally nice gold work on the folding dagger, great carving on the push dagger and pearl handled knife.

The "engravers delight" may not be SO much of a delight to engrave due to the number of screws in the bolsters:D.

With that line-up you should have a great show.

Thanks for posting the pictures.

Very impressive, to say the very least. The folding dagger with tortoise is just  . I love the push dagger - I really wish that type of knife were permissible here. I agree with ddd - the asymmetry really works here - along with the beautiful contours of blade and handle.

Love them. My fav is the the carved pearl folder and push dagger.

See ya there, Josh

Yeah. These are sweeeeeet.

Each one of them has some unique appeal which is VERY outstanding. Good work.

I'll see them (and you) in person on Friday. How about that!

That folding dagger is to die for! And in a five month period, I have now seen three push daggers I love - and I never did care for them before. Yours, Larry Fuegen's and (what else) a Warenski.

Thanks for the pics@!

EDIT: I'm with David Darom on this one, the assymetry of the push dagger really adds to the beauty.

Josh, you already know what I think of these knives so I will only say this::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks so much guys. I really appreciate the compliments. I'm looking forward to a great show and NYC. I've grown to appreciate New York. Especially the food! :)

I look forward to seeing some of you there!

Josh beautiful stuff . I will hopefully see you in NY

If it stops snowing

We are getting it tonight and tomorrow and hopefully I will be done plowing by the weekend if we don't get anymore:D

Here is the last knife for NY. A hunter with blackwood handle and carved guard and butt cap. Also has a great Paul Long gator inlay sheath.

Pretty cool living 5 miles from this guy.If I need a fix all I need to do is go over to Josh's house and ask him to sharpen one of my knives. While he is doing it I can snoop.
Great stuff Josh.Good luck in NYC.
