Here's one I'll have at my table;

Persian Style Fighter; A collaboration between artists

Kevin Casey- Bladesmith. The slight upward sweep of the blade gives this knife a Persian influence. The blade measures 9.5” in length (OAL 15”). The blade is forged Feather Damascus Steel and steel composition is 1080 carbon steel, 15n20 tool steel with micro layers of pure Nichol. Handle is Premium Amber Stag. The pommel has an inlaid stone of Tigers Eye. Guard material is 416ss, spacer and pommel 416ss and Bronze.

David Riccardo- Engraver. The exquisite engraving is based on Persian motif designs and features forty-one 24K gold inlays on convex and concave surfaces. Both the spacer and pommel are a running feather style boarder design, which compliments the feather patterned blade steel.

Larry Parsons- Sheath Maker. The sheath leather is premium grade saddle skirting, with brown and peanut brittle color elephant leather inlay. The sheath is tooled using a feather design that compliments both the blade and engraving. The Concho is browned metal with a rope edge and a flower center of bronze. The sheath is completed with a natural hand rubbed oil finish and the edges are blackened for contrast.

SharpByCoop- Photography. Studio photographer Jim Cooper shot the pictures of this knife. With Coop’s artistic eye and sense of design, all the details and features of this unique knife are brought to life in the photos. Great pictures!

WOW!!

Kevin,

That is beautiful. The blade is super, the engraving great and the sheath really completes the package.

They keep getting better and better.

Badass!!! Did you put a solid layer of 1080 between the feather layers after you split the billet?

Now THAT'S ^^^ how to make an entrance. (It's the antidote for Post 815.)

Kevin's bar has always been high. It's bending upward steeper than an X-games launch ramp!

Glad to be on board!

Joe- nothing between the split. I parkerize for finishing and the quill line can either be silver or black depending depending on final polishing.... kinda of a long story.

Kevin,

you keep raising the bar on your work - great job!

Looking forward to seeing your knives at the show

WOW Kevin that came together beautifully, I am very proud to be apart of that project.

It's always a pleasure to work with other craftsmen and professionals, that's what it's all about. Larry.

What a gorgous collaboration between you and David. Both of you were in top form for this one!

So far the Show is brisk and exciting. LOTS of quality, prestigious and international makers are present.

I've shot a Walker and both Loerchner's drawing knives. I'll be shooting ^^^ Todd's in the morning. Mark (NK) is good people, believe it.

We're exhausted and will report back in tomorrow. Too many great names and makers/collectors to shout to all without missing someone.

Good stuff!
