Just a quick photo of some of the great knives that were available at the ECCKS. I'm a very focused collector, strictly hunters, almost exclusively stag, and prefer integral construction (7 at last count). Anyhow, these great additions are from Kressler (a half integral); Velarde (a full integral, slimmed down version of the classic hunter he and Steve Johnson make); an unusual half-integral from Bill Pease from the mid-80's with "bark" water buffalo scales; a Ron Gaston; and a Siska (thanks to Wynn's sharp eyes!) with stag rounds and a nickle-silver end cap shaped to the stag. Thank God for sharp pointy things and wives who allow us boys to go out and play...

You have a very good set of knives there,Greg.Maybe some of the best stag in the show except maybe for the Ron Newton hunter.:)

The second knife looks like sheep but I'm told it is actually water buffalo. It is the outer part of the horn, kind of like the "bark". It was made by Bill Pease back in 1985, and was supposed to have been on a magazine or "annuals" cover. Bill looked at it at the show and said he only made a few. It's a half integral.

Those are all exceptional knives by exceptional makers.
I would say that the Kressler is more exceptional than the others though!

Ditto.., I do love Ron Gaston's work, but that Siska is simply beautiful in every aspect. Hell.., they all are...:) Great knives.., thanks for sharing them....
