Could someone assist me with disassembly instructions , I'd like to remove the speedsafe spring.

Its not that difficult, I de-assisted my Echelon sometime back. Start with the knife in the open position to avoid it springing open on you as you unscrew the knife. T6 and T8 torx drivers I think.

Gently remove the scale completely and take off the torsion bar, there's nothing much to it really. Since its your first time, shouldn't take you more than ten minutes. If you encounter any problems, head back on here you'll get your answers :)

The pivot spins on both sides. Would it be acceptable to locktite the nut side?

In all honesty I never had the need to use loctite, make sure the loctite you use can be heat treated in case you wish to disassemble it again.

I think its loctite 242? I can't be sure, just check it out before using.
