I hit a big milestone today. I've been tracking my expenditures closely this year. In that last 2 weeks I have sold about $1500 in knives. The last knife i sold put me in the black. $8.60 cents profit for the year. At this rate I'll be quitting my job and going full time in no time.

I had to celebrate by immediately ordering about $700 in steel and belts. It was fun while it lasted.

By far, the best thread this year.

2 years in and I'm probably 3 grand in the hole. I never counted. Never sold a knife, but I don't suppose we should be talking business here :)

i buy so much stuff i never make money on, so i do not count knife making equipment against my profits. just the belts, steel, scales, leather and heat treat. my milestone was selling a knife for $1000. it took 13 years of part time knifemaking to accomplish. i finally feel like i graduated high school or something
