Ed Caffrey stag 52100 hunter

Not mine, but I sure wish it were. Still available from Ed, last I heard. Blade is forged 52100, and the handle is red stag. Super sweet!

That looks like the one I saw at the NWKC Show a few weeks ago... If it is, it's even nicer in the hand! And while I'm still only a begrudgingly minor 'fan' of stag... it really felt like a tool you'd want to use.

And to top it off, there were two other similar pieces with stag handles at the same show, and all three together would have made one hell of an instant collection: John Conway and Nick Wheeler both had a piece that could have been brothers to Ed's... they all looked sweet... fortunately... I couldn't afford all three! so I had to pass on all... :grumpy:
