A handsome selection of Ed Fowler's work, a range of eras represented from early forged knives until today. Many thanks to bladegallery.com for saving the archival photos.

My favorite "art" knife! ;)

Thanks guys! I have held a fascination with Ed Fowler's knives for many years. His style is unique. In some ways, by comparison, one might say it is elemental in constitution. Maybe, as a potter who works in clay. He uses the earth to make something serviceable to man. Ed's knives are a tribute to the kind of person he is, his personality is forged into his craft. Rugged individualism. Western landscapes. Beautiful pastures. Farm life. Good times. Hardships and passion, and monumental character.
I live several thousand miles away from Ed, but i share a small bond of friendship with this great man. He is truly a legend of our time. A true soul of the West. Timeless. Inspiring.

I'll never see enough of the man's work.
For a knife so, elemental as you say, there is so much to look at.
You don't see a swedge on many of his knives, but he does a fantastic job of them when he does.
The finish he gets is phenomenal.

That choppery thing is off da hook! I'd love to take that thing for a spin.
