Hi all,

I posted one of these in another forum, but there's a few more pictures, and this is the place to show them.

Jose,
Thanks for the pics. The Pronghorn is my favorite knife and Ed Fowler is the master. I have downloaded most of your picks and use them as wallpaper all the time. How many pronghorns do you own? What is your favorite size to use?

Thanks Dean

I don't think those are the Pronghorn. Those are the bowies Ed sometimes makes. Me likes....:D

They all look fantastic. The camp knife, the two Bowies and the Pronghorn are all outstanding examples of the work that Ed does. Thanks for the great pictures.

I really only like the bowies. For the pronghorns, I feel the blade is too small for the handle. Ed had a pretty nice bowie for sale at the Reno ABS show, but it was selling for $7,000....

Dean,

This is the only Pronghorn I own, the blade is about 4 1/2" long:

IMO, this is about the right size if you live out in the country and need a knife to carry for anything that might come up. If you live in the city and just need something for light duty but that will hold up in an emergency then one of Ed's smaller knives with about a 3" blade would fit the bill. If you're going to be out in the wilderness for an extended period of time then I would prefer one of Ed's wider camp knives in about the 6 1/2" range.

Beluga, Keith is right. The top knife is a camp model and the bottom one is a Pronghorn.

Keith, I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures. I don't know the name of the photographer for PointSeven but he does a hell of a job.

Joss, Ed makes handles that fit your hand, regardless of the size of the blade, and that allows you to aggressively use your knife in comfort and with control and efficiency. I've yet to handle any knife of Ed's that hasn't felt balanced in my hand from 10 1/2" camp knives to 3" yearlings.

That second Bowie with the big clip and the straight handle is my favorite. It is different than other Bowies of Ed's that I have seen. More of a traditional style.

I like them all but when I see them i think "Pronghorn", not "Bowie". The blades are outstanding. 52100, 52100, 52100 :) I like the lines in the third picture the best.

I'm with Joss on this one; I only like the bowies with that big handle. I'm just about in love with the top picture, and may use that as my desktop background.

You can never go wrong with Fowler pics! Man I want one of those, JUST ONE!
