Anyone want to speculate the value of this WÜSTHOF set? This "folding silverware set" was officially called a folding travel set. It was last shown on page 153 of the WÜSTHOF 1956 catalogue. The style number was most likely 9924. The metal parts were made of stainless steel, the scales of the handles were made of bone celluloid.

Folding travel sets used to be quite an important line of products in the old days. However, in today’s world they have become obsolete. WÜSTHOF stopped manufacturing them around the year 1960.

cool, wusthof is pretty good stuff. I think a hobo is a bit better for in the field, but for a traveler this was probably excellent.

Great find. I´m a german, living in Germany, but I never saw such a cool hobo. Wüsthoff must have really made great tools. Unfortunatelly they closed their doors forever, a long time ago.
A lot of great german craftmanship died through the time.

Kind regards
