Eddie White's latest. In fact, he created this new model for me, and this is serial #001. For the first time anywhere, I present Shadow Knives model XI:

ShadowKnivesXI001.jpg

Specs:

6-3/4" overall, 3-3/4" handle of sheephorn, 3" blade of 440C in a Wharncliff style. My first "true" custom, in that it was made for me completely from scratch (not even a previous template). I have a very nice customized Copperhead, and a Ranger RD7 that I ordered with a custom grind and finish, but this, this is mine.

Eddie was a joy to work with, and got this knife turned out in absolutely record time. I don't want to say exactly how short, as I don't want to set unrealistic expectations for others. Let's just say it wasn't the several months to several years that many makers quote.

Thanks to several of the members here for introducing me to Eddie's work, as well as giving me enough of an education to appreciate something like this.

Go ahead, line up at www.shadowknives.com, and tell Eddie you want an XI just like Sam's.

Saweeet!!!!!!!

I have 2 of Eddie's knives and they are real bargains, you get a WHOLE lot of knife for the money!

I'll bet that thing is one SCARY cutter!!!!!!!

Dang, is that some awesome gnarly horn, or what! What kind of sheeps horn is it? Very nice color.

A beaut! Glad to see another very happy customer from Eddie White. As TLC said, "...you get a WHOLE lot of knife for the money!" I certainly agree with that wholeheartedly. Mine sits my the bed unless I'm toting it.

Congrats! Extra special to have your own custom too.

Shadowknives XI Wharncliffe or now affectionately known here as a Sam Special!. :D

Super sweet custom knife there Sam to be sure!. I just love that gnarly Sheeps Horn!.

Many Blessings ><> ~ ~ ><>

I received the knife yesterday, and it's even better in person!

Eddie did great work fitting the pin heads to the gnarls in the sheep horn. It's really flawless. And the horn matches on both sides, so you can see the "grain" across the handle. I think it may have come from the same section of horn, split into scales. He also did this graceful long hollow grind from a fairly thick spine to a very thin edge. The whole knife is quite well done. And it's serial number 001!

When you get to know Eddie you will find that he really is a true perfectionist and does his finest work when it comes to the grinding of the blades!.. He is the finest freehand grinder alive IMO. Here is the Rams-horn he did for me which I am forever grateful. This is my all-time favorite hunter/skinner drop-point design from him or anyone else for that fact...

sunnyd,

We've seen your ram's horn, red bone and white bone from Eddie.

What do the other two look like?

I've got a small Model IV in Brazilian wood that I love. I'm trying to decide between cocobolo and stag for my next knife from Eddie.

Both had Micarta scales, one with Green and one with Tan, with pretty much the same exact design. I gave them away as Christmas gifts last year. Both of the gents I gave them to just love them to bits!.

I was mistaking - I only have ordered 4 total from him - when he gets back from the show he was stocking up for I might order one of his tacticals!
