Just got my EDC taken at the airport (my fault, forgot it was there), so I'm looking for a replacement. As I work in the DC area, a 3" blade folder is the largest I can carry here. I really like textured G10, but am willing to consider other handle materials. I'd rather keep it under $100. I'd appreciate your recommendations.

If you can find one, the discontinued US-made Kershaw Zing is a highly underrated knife for <$40. The scales are FRN but they are very close in look and feel to real G-10...

Spyderco R Nishijin and Kershaw Zing

Otherwise, the Spyderco Delica 4 would be a decent choice. The bi-directional FRN is quite good, imo...

A Boker Plus Hyper is worth a look, too. SS framelock with a G-10 scale on the non-locking side and has a deep-carry pocket clip.

Good luck, OP! :)

Benchmade mini-griptilian. One of the best 3" or under knives that I have ever owned.

...maybe Buck Vantage Pro: G 10 handle (ergonomic), liner lock (with steel liners for extra safety), S30V blade (very sharp), light (but tough), nice... under 3", under $100

Sage as long as the height when closed (spine of blade to bottom of grip) isn't too wide. Great knives but too bulky for regular EDC
Mini-Grip (add Ritter version and 707) are great EDCs. I threw the 707 in as it is close to a Mini-Grip in all specs but a little classier. The 707 and Ritter will be a tad over your $100 budget.. but what $15 extra right? :-)

For me disappearing in the pocket is key, and that's just not weight wise.. but width wise as well.

Spyderco persistence is a 2.75" blade with g10 scales and is very well priced you can find them around $30-40

Some with G10 handles:
G10 Leek - discontinued, but still many of them floating about
OD Zing - comes with OD green G10 scales (vs. the usual FRN on the Zings)
Small Vantage Pro - smooth contoured G10, but still grips fine

Other handle materials:
Delica4 - textured FRN
Mini-Griptilian - textured Noryl GTX
