Let me know if you like it!

It does kinda look like Koa. But it's an American species. ;)

Osage is a good guess, but I don't know if it comes in a curly form.

Keep 'em coming!

Dan

Here's a hint - it's not maple.

If you look carefully at the grain, it's open, and running perpendicular to the curl.

Not chestnut...

Another hint: a common wood that grows in Texas and the curly figure is extremely rare!

Wouldn't be mesquite, 'wood' it? ;) Either way, the whole package is pretty suhweet! Only thing I would do differently, I like my horizontal sheaths to have reversible straps so that it could be carries right or left hand, s.o.b. or crossdraw, but that is when you don't have also have the option of vertical carry... Cool stuff either way!

Possibly an oak burl?

:D :P

Dang the decisions... CURLY HONEY MESQUITE BURL. Locking in my final answer! Will you be shipping that to the winner today, or tomorrow? ;) Seriously, GREAT looking EDC. I need to work on getting fitted up for a MUCK soon...

Curly mesquite.

Very rare (go ahead and try and google it...LOL)

This one is headed to Italy, guys. Hope the new owner loves it as much as we all do!

Mental note, next trip to west Texas, must search for mesquite with 'growth'! Then have Dan M.U.C.K. it up!
