Well, I’m still so very new to all this. I previously asked what you suggested for $20-$50. I have a similar but different question now.

$50 to $100. EDC. Fixed blade primarily. Online purchase.

Who are your top pick manufacturers in this area?
Which steel would I be getting?

Hopefully solidly built and won’t fall apart.

I appreciate the information

Not enough information in that question.

What size blade?
What end use?

Becker BK-2, might stretch your max by a few bucks. If you dropped an atomic bomb on it, it would still be there, when the dust settles. 😉

RAT-3.

Civivi Timberbark.

ESEE 3, pretty much a RAT-3 but will also stretch your budget a little.

Kizer mini harpoon or drop bear.

Boker Dasos 2.0

Cold Steel SRK.

This is a bit like asking what kind of truck is best for driving off-road. Some options may be discounted but the question is too vague overall. As knarfeng knarfeng responded, size and planned usage are important variables to consider.

Not knowing what you are looking for- these come to mind right away.

Buck makes a bunch of great knives of different shapes/sizes for that price.

Cold Steel SRK in 3V is available for just over $100 right now. Great knife.

Cold Steel Master Hunter in 3V is available for less than $100 right now and is a really great knife.

Terava makes great blades.

Condor or BPS. Both have a number of knives in that range, both use decent carbon steel, either 1066, 1075, 1084 or 1095. There are many reviews that recognize the excellent cost vs performance of these makers also.

Thanks. I’m looking around at these.

My use is just everyday stuff with a 4 to 6 inch edge. Not doing anything fancy with it.

Fixed blade for what intended use(s)?

And right off since you are "still so very new to all this" I would suggest going with well under $50 knives.

You will learn what works for you and your preferences. Styles, blade lengths, blade profiles, handle types, profiles, materials etc etc. Once you know what works for you and what you like buy quality knife or knives in the higher price bracket.
