I'm looking at retiring my benchmade 943 as my EDC and replacing it with a new knife. I've got a knife itch. I'm not really confident with the 943 in harder use due to the slippery grips and lack of any choil, but I love the fact that the grips do not tear up my jeans every time I try to pull it out. I'd like to replace it with something thats relatively small as well, but that can serve as a defensive blade as well. I've had a few para2s, and they sit a bit big in the pocket for me to carry them everywhere. I'd like to be able to put other things in my pocket as well so I'd prefer a smaller knife. I have a waved endura as well, but its awkward in my hand and I don't like it very much. The primary purpose of this knife will be to be on me at all times, use for food prep, opening packages, normal every day stuff (no abuse or hard use), that can serve as a self defense knife - just in case.
Knives I'm debating between:
spyderco street beat
spyderco p'kal
clinch pick
paul moore BOB (clinch pick clone): http://pmooreknives.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoid=98468585
open to any other suggestions, but not really into emersons (played with a few, wasn't too impressed with them)
Max price range: 250$
Thanks in advance!
