What's your favorite carry method for your EDC knife? Mine is the low ride sheath although here in Toronto it would be stupid to wear that every day. (freak city sheeple out) Even though it is legal. OK outside the cities.
The high ride kydex style sheath is comfortable and you can always feel it's presence. It is a bit harder to reach for to remove and replace.
The iwb method is what I end up with every day because it is very seldom seen and is easy for remove and replace use.
Benchmade Griptillian, Busse AD, RAT 3.

I like the low ride, comfort and accessibility. The high ride kydex sheaths poke me in the ribs when I sit sometimes. Let them worry, Id be more concerned with what you dont see hidden on someone.;)

Low ride for the most part here, but I don't have many options for that with my current sheath options. Horizontal carry on the belt has also been comfy and easy to access too...

I carry strong side IWB in kydex, I've used loops, 'G' clips and 'J' clips but the best method I've found is just tucking it in @ 04:00 without any attachments.

The swell on most of my kydex sheaths act like a belt stud and keeps it from falling down my pant leg into my boot.

JJ - then where do you put yer gun?

That's my limiting factor in knife-carry. Strongside gets in the way of my gub. So I tend NOT to carry a fixed-blade. :(

i carry horizontal 90% of the time. shift my belt buckle all the way left, put the sheath where the buckle would go. usually the skelly warden, sometimes the rat tail.

In the summer, my fixed blade goes in my "man purse". Today my bag has a Gamewarden, a Koster Bushcraft and a Bark River Blackstorm in it. Usually, I have a Badger or an ASH-1 in there, but I'm mixing things up a bit. (It's not teh ghey if it's fulla knives, right?) In the winter (such as it is in Atlanta) I carry in the inside pocket of my jacket. I just haven't found a belt carry method that is comfortable enough for EDC use. I sit at a desk most of the day, so anything on my belt ends up poking either me or my chair.

Of course I always carry a folder. Today it's a Bradley Alias.

In my pants , keeps me out of trouble.

'This is my weapon, this is my gun.............. :D '

That's the wrinkle, around town it rides in my bag, out and about, if I'm wearing a fixed blade, I just tuck a mouse gun in my waste band or pocket. Larger firearm, the blade rides in the gear.

I'm not rambo, I figure if I need to quick draw, I'm already wrong :o

Right now only carrying a folder, but will switch over to a fix shortly as well. My leather sheaths are low ride, my RAT RC-3 is the same as yours. My other kydex sheath is the same. I need a bunch of sheaths made for my other SY, SR, Busse's.

mfaster7,
How's the law for that type of carry in NY, NY.

Under four inches I think ou're okay. The cops encourage you to conceal your knives in NYC. In my youth it was the opposite. Carry anything as long as it showed.

with my game warden I alternate between horizontal carry either in front of my left hip, handle to the right, or in middle front. Also I have been removing the tec loc and pocket carrying with para cord lanyard looped over my belt and through one of the holes on the sheath in case it falls out of the pocket.

Usually depends on what I am wearing and where I am going.

For example:

In the outdoors, I like the CT or HR in a drop carry, folder in my pocket, and maybe a neck knife. The AD straps to the outside of my day pack or fits inside. (unless it is a quick walk around the ranch, then I may just slip it into a pocket )

Around allegedly civilized folks, I will do folder in the pocket (if I have one), AD in the purse or back of the waistband. If I don't have a pocket, I clip a folder where ever it will go and put the AD in the purse.

I have been known on occassion to wear the CT in a drop leg under a skirt.

In the field, HR on my pack (it has replaced my other archaeology tools) and folder in my pocket. At work, folder in my pocket. Daily in town, folder in pocket. Lately the folder has been a Delica, but with me you never know. If I'm carrying a bag--purse or briefcase--lately its the Cultie in its new Kydex pants for fun! :D

I carry my BAD in a kydex sheath in my right front pocket. It is concealed and easily accessable.

I carry my Buck folding Alpha Hunter horizontal on my belt. For some reason people don't seem to notice it as much carried that way. They are always surprised when I pull it out, open it, use it, close it and put it away all one handed and one fluid motion. When Busse comes out with something compariable it will become my EDC.
