Apparently unnecessarily, I posted a concern I had about the degree of lockup on my EDC which arrived yesterday. Overnite, some of the problems seem to have corrected themselves, and am now convinced I have a good knife.

I can heartily second most of what AlaChoctaw said above. Not quite as high on the sharpness as he is, but it is sharp. The fit and finish on mine is absolutely top notch. There isn't anything other than the blade that is remotely sharp on the knife. Given its relatively small size -- for me at least -- it does indeed have a sense of strength about it that few knives can equal.

One thing I like very much about it, is that though it is a recurve-style blade, and has a point typical of such blades, the distal taper is fantastic. I'm convinced without even trying, that this blade will stab/thrust far better than most of its kin. And, though small, is obviously a "slasher" to be reckoned with. Virtually every day, I become convinced more and more how much of a genius Darrel Ralph is.

Bugs, mine would shave arm hair right out of the box, not too shabby for a $44 blade. Many more expensive knives should shoot for that! A couple of passes on the ceramic sticks, and it really hums now.Yep, sharp is good!

"Always just ONE knife short of perfection".

I've picked up a lot of knives this year, but only carry one consistantly. That's my Camillus EDC. I'm absolutely addicted. Every other small folder in my collection just can't compete. The ergonomics are soooooo good on the EDC. It's like having a perfect extension of my hand.
