Hi all

Needing some advice from those of you in the know :)

I'm looking to get a small fixed blade for edc / self defence, and I'm looking at the SouthNarc Clinch Pick and the Bastinelli PiKa (https://www.knifecenter.com/item/BG...n690co-hawkbill-blade-pinky-ring-kydex-sheath).

Does anyone have experience with either one, or perhaps both even?

I always have a folder on me (Tenacious, Endura, PM2, RajahIII) but looking to add a fixed blade to my daily carry. I'll look to carry it weak side appendix.

Thanks in advance! :D:thumbsup:

No experience with either. They look like two very different knives. You say you want a knife for EDC and Self Defense. I think the SouthNarc would be better for general EDC purposes based on the blade shape and grip design. It also looks like a capable SD knife if need.

Of the two, I'd choose the SouthNarc.

Both seem staggeringly overpriced, AND the Bastinelli ($125?!?!?) would serve as a worthless EDC.

I'd save a ton of money and buy something without the jacked up tacti-name and price. You are paying for a threatening name and that's it. And names dont cut things.

Heck, get a Kabar TDI for 50 bucks. Or any one of a dozen Cold Steels. Or a CRKT Folts Minimalist. etc etc

This is more my idea of a fighting Karambit . DE and with spines/ teeth for grabbing and trapping . But without the considerable skills to use such a knife , you'd be far better off with a conventional FB more useful for everyday utility and emergency use .
