Hi, I'm looking for an EDC fixed blade with a handle long enough for big paws. I have a bravo necker, and tried the becker and izula/izula II, and they just don't feel very secure.

Ideal specs are:
-3" Blade, 4.5" handle, 7.5" overall
-Stainless or D2
-Small guard, or handle shape relieved for slips
-Thin enough to ride comfortably in front pocket
-<$200

I haven't been able to find any available production knife that meets these specs. The closest that I own is a benchmade 201+ activator in D2, but it has nearly 4" on the blade so it's a little big for the front pocket.

Thanks in advance!

I loveeeee my Nim Cub II. It's got a 3.5 inch blade though so that wouldn't be ideal would it? You could take the handle off and wrap it, then it would be great. Super light knife even with the handles. Discontinued but you can still find them for sub 150, and use the remainder of your budget on a pocket sheath for it.

Hmmm, should have specified that I'm looking for a traditional flat back or drop point blade - not too picky beyond that, but don't need anything exotic like tanto, serrations, spearpoint, etc. 3.5" blade is fine. Any other ideas?

for $200 (or less) you can have a custom made to your spec.

While it doesn't exactly fit your specs ; l can tell you my favourite fixed blade. Its a Robert Parrish 8 inch Hollow handle.survivor knife with 440c blade. Amazing knife. In rural areas where there are no sheeple; l.some.times.carry it as an edc. You would think that Hollow handle knives are cheap novelties made famous by Rambo. But this knife is built like a. Tank. If you ever come across one ; buy it.then.and.there

Oh; lf you are insistent on staying to your specifications ; then have one made to order by a custom knife maker. Back in the 80s my grandfather had a knife with your specifications made by Alton D'HOLDER. A lovely drop point indeed. Also l recommend Vaugn NEELEY.
