EDC Fixed Blade?

I need some suggestions on an EDC fixed blade. Thanks a lot for any information.

Self defense and menial tasks. 3 inches or under for blade length. Coating isn't an issue. Belt carry. Weight isn't an issue.

Sure, Izula, La Griffe, boker has a few little guys that would be handy, BRKT has a few, Becker has a couple neckers that would work well.

Here are some questions for you to answer to get better responses:

What size?

What sort of things will you be cutting?

Price range?

How do you feel about blade coatings?

Handle scales or skeletonized handles?

Belt or pocket carry?

Is weight an issue?
 
Let me be the first to mention Becker BK14 or BK11 - both outstanding knives, just pick the handle you like better. :D

I've started EDC'ing a this David Farmer fixed blade and I really like it a lot. Pretty thin blade makes it a really great slicer.

I just put in an order for the same sort of knife. I called dibs on a Fletcher Knives Pocket Kilo. You should check them out the guy has a forum on here. The Izula, and Swamp Warden are also good choices.
 
Will most likely get suggested many more times, but an ESEE Izula or Izula-II. Also take a look at some of the smaller models from Blind Horse(BHK)...top notch as well.
 
Do you want a full size handle, or something thinner? What blade geometry do you need? Are you hard on your knives, thin or thick edges?

I gota say that the HEST fixed is the best edc fixed blade ive found and i tried a fair amount.

Its just the perfect size and the bottle opener and pry tol see ALOT of play when i cary it, also its a stout FFG bladewhat else could you want? also soon itll be availadle in stainless if tha tfloats your boat.
 
Gossman PSK -got one in CPM154-great edge holder, tough, and stainless! Carries nicely in pocket w/ low profine kydex or as necker
