If you are like me, you have a selection of EDC blades that rotate depending on your mood, required tasks, and the area you're operating in. So, what selection of blades make up your "front line?"
Bud Nealy Aikuchi in blued O-1(my first custom knife made by a well known NEPA local)
Pat Crawford Framelock (a design that is simplistic and works flawlessly)
Case Swayback Jack in chestnut bone with CV blades (an affordable Case/Bose collaboration :thumbup
Union Knifeworks bone handled moose (a 100+ year old knife that still works perfect, they don't build 'em like that anymore)
CRKT Ripple (if you've never tried a knife with bearings before this is the one to get, silky smooth, rock solid)
Last but not least...............
Small Sebenza 21 (this is the definition of the cutlers art, a tribute to F&F and obsessive QC)
I also carry a Swamp Rat Howlin' Rat, original RAT Izula and a Newt Livesay Woo...
For folders I almost always carry an SnG or a Sebenza. I know it's really cliche' but I just can't find anything that beast these two.
For fixed blades, either my Strider SA GG or Boye Basic 3 are typically by my side.
I really don't switch around my EDC much : Right pocket - Delica ZDP189 -- Gerber Belt Buckle - left pocket a Case SwayBack Jack Damascus == these have been there for years and be there when I go.!
The rest are just a bunch of Safe Queens for everybody to fight over.! Just wish I could be here to see it.!! lol
I recently decided to carry only one EDC for a month at a time. I really wasn't getting to know any of my newer knives at all because I would only carry them for a day before switching to something different. So for the last 3 weeks it has been a Greyman Dua, so far nothing it can't handle and i am really gaining an appreciation for how strong this folder is.
My current "front line rotation is" (I carry multiple knives)-
*Benchmade 555 mini-grip
*Spyderco Delica 4
*Spyderco dfly
Spyderco ladybug HB/LB1 CE, manbug (always have one of these on my keys)
Kershaw shallot Damascus (always have this one in my back pocket but don't use it for EDC tasks)
Spyderco UKPK (tho ill be giving this knife to my father-in-law at Xmas time)
Schrade small & medium Stockman's.
*the first 3 are the ones that serve as my main use EDC and get switched up almost daily, tho I favor the mini-grip most followed closely by the dfly.
