-edit: I'm going to change this to an EDC gallery of knives, and I'll create new pages for other styles...

Here's my first one I made for someone else..
Utility Fighter:
HSS Vintage micarta, with vintage micarta pins

I didn't know this at the time, but the person I made this for later told me that they have low self esteem and confidence issues. They told me they keep my knife in their car and every morning before work they Unsheath it and hold it.... And that "Rush" they get holding It, helps them feel empowered, and that they can now tackle the day's challenges.....

That's probably The Best compliment a knife maker could ever get.... I was more than flattered , & beyond fortunate getting it so soon in my journey.....

A fellow Bladeforum member from Europe wanted a Rough & Ready, hard use, thin, high performance edc. Handle comfort was paramount..... He even labeled it with a fancy German word.....(Can't find It in my messages, hopefully he chimes in). This was made from a piece HSS, from Starret.
This was the first time working with this handle material. Richlite. This color really looked and felt like ebony....I ordered more.

That looks awesome!! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks,
I've got so many in my phone, Ive to post....I'm not going in any order, other than grouping by "style".....not really sure what way is best to do this? Perhaps some day, if it gets busy in here, I can ask to sticky some stuff to the top?

I should of posted This one first, but I'm a chaotic sort.....Ha.

This was my first sale.
A coworker's kid had my Hunter model (prototype) on loan. I made the Hunter as a pass around knife for everyone to have it a couple weeks, then send/give to the next person.....

That was the first week of November.
Week after week. Initially my work was, well....it's Just a knife. Then, when his custom knife his girlfriend bought him "wasn't cutting it" he called out for Mine..... Only then was it starting to get used. After deer hunting season.

Then I was hearing the stories, the yarns of comparisons he and his customers at his shops would make in their makeshift cutting competitions..... Now they like my knife.
His dad tells me, he Won't give it back until I make him one to replace it.
Felt more like a ransom note.....Ha.

I caved, and to his request I made one (last week, he's had my knife for close to 4 months) smaller, about an inch less. And thinner, and shorter in height. I'm calling this my Craftsman model. It's going to be his EDC, helping with opening packages and cutting string when tying/restringing bows.
I put good effort in uping my quality, and it's looks. I'm happy with everything about it.

It was the first knife to wear my mark in the wild.
I feel I am off to a good start.

Looking good mate, I particularly like the jagdmesser or whatever that German one is. Looks like a practical and attractive knife.

-If ya are ever looking for another hunting knife, I've got fat stacks of all kinds of steel...
Cruwear, Wolfram, AEBL/NitroV, heck maybe a 3V or so......

This is .....currently my current carry.
Say That fast 3 times.

It's not finished,I'm waiting for my rotary platen to clean it up.
Until then it's getting Used. The Hard high steel blade is tougher than you'd think, and holds an edge quite long. Impressive really.

Photo bomb.....Oops

This is an older EDC of Mine. I have made a couple of them, slight variance.

I thought I invented this pattern, I was really excited. Originally I was referring to it as a "Grandpa Knife".....I'm Not a grandpa yet, hope to be one someday, maybe in 7+years.... 😁

Then....I see a maker Here on BF make one very similar, and attributing it to Loveless.... Grrrrr!

I thought that was My design.
Well, I looked into it more. I'm not sure What loveless ever came up with? It's Not his design either.... He borrowed it from an ergonomics industrial designer. He also took the "coke bottle" handle design from him. Thomas Lamb.
I've seen other makers call them "Lamb handles", not for slicing the animals.....
Now, we know.

Anyhow, I changed my handle's name to
"No Love"
Because it's NOT.
Not his.

Still, though it's perfect. Fits right in there.
It's bulbous shape is great for aging, beat up hands.... When you Worked hard for a living, all your life. And they just ache at the end of the day...... No one cared. No Loved.
No one thanked you...

Well, I am.......Thanks.

Another "No Love"
The first one above was made with Ingot D2 tool steel, with a very high end heat treatment. I'm never letting go of That knife.... I may have to rehandle it some day, idk? It's scales are lignum V. And it gets these weird cross-hatched cracks. I can fill them with crazy glue. That seems to work. But I've got one more set of wood that I'll never be able to use...... Best smelling wood, ever. Very aromatic, and Spicy!

Well, This one is spicy too.....
Red Chili Pepper Micarta.
Nitro V
No Love

I never got to make a knife for My father....
I've tried to make up for that by building some for a few mentors, and father figures of my life. I might still have a few fellows to do

This was a build for my father-in-law.
I made it a few years ago. My designs were still young then, I can see A lot of growth since then, but I still liked this one a lot.

He is a proud veteran of the Navy, and I wanted to have that part incorporated in, of something so special, as a knife.... I found some old, vintage Navy rag Micarta from WW2. It was very "aromatic".
I'll probably never work with it again!

The finished knife was 6.5oz
4.75" long blade
It's from an old, special heat treatment that I'll never get again....(In theory)

It's low temper 3v, actual Cryo.
It's kinda Chunky at .150" thick blank thickness.

I have two more of this 3v batch.
1, is a duplicate of my FIL's knife/blank.
I'm treating them kinda special, for someone who will Really like them..... Someday.
I like 3v, but I don't love it anymore like I Used to....so idk If I'll ever buy more steel, idk?

Even if it's not perfect shape for an upcoming order, everything can be tweaked.... I have probably a hundred heat treated blanks ready for All You..... :)
