EDC Gloves?

Anyone here know of a good pair of tight fitting, touch capable gloves. I found wearing gloves throughout the day is pretty comfortable, and its pretty nice not having to always touch door handles and shopping carts and whatnot. Now I just wear either some mechanix gloves, or my motorcycle gloves, but they both are kinda bulky on the fingertips. I'm looking for something that fits a little tighter for more dexterity and don't stand out like loud mechanix gloves or padded riding gloves?

The black vinyl/latex gloves I have are sturdier than regular latex, and have a different texture. I use them for working when I want to keep fingerprints off of something - they really are great.

I gotta say though, wearing gloves all day long is a little out there for me -- but if I were to do it, I would wear bright wight gloves that you could challenge people to duels with! If you're going to do the thing, DO THE THING! :cool:
 
Nitrile gloves are usually a little heavier yet retain good dexterity. If you wear gloves inside where it's warm and it's not part of a uniform, any glove is going to get noticed. Sort of like dark sunglasses at night. People are going to notice so make it a fashion statement!:D
 
I have used the Hatch Specialist gloves for years and they work well depending on what you are trying to accomplish. You can get them un lined and they are about the same thickness as basic mechanix gloves

This is true. Getting asked, "Why are you wearing gloves inside?" Might get old after a couple hours. But, if you cut the fingers off, that is a different story.

I like nomex flight gloves.
The military issue ones comes in several sizes and a variety of colors.
The cheaper civilian ones are S, M, L, XL and don't fit as well for me.
 
I recently was looking at "Tough Gloves, Patrol model" they're a .45mm thick leather glove designed for law enforcement, and are made to allow finger dexterity.
 
Try Head brand, can find them at Costco. Run approx $12 and work with your touch screen device.
Thin with good dexterity as well.
 
I wear the Mechanix utility gloves. They are thinner and slip on and off easily but still are effective. $15 and they work with touch screen in my phone (not even advertised as smart touch)

arcteryx venta LT are my favorite, but if you have huge hands they probably wont fit. I have avg size hands imo and I wear xl for a perfect fit.

Of course you will look like a serial killer, but if you are kewl with that no bid deal. Make sure you wear a mask too.

Seriously, I have used them all. Gloves are very important to me because I treasure my hands:) IMHO the best based on durability, price, and availability are Mechanix Fast Fit. Mine are bungee corded on the outside of my back so in the case of an emergency I would be a conscious decision to put them on or not as I grab something else from my bag.- George
 
Any thoughts on what would best fit a wide palm short fingered guy? I can never find a glove that I can get on without the fingers being way too long. In golf they call them "cadet" gloves because its more polite than "ham fisted"
