I've been thinking about seriously updating my EDC. Currently I carry the Delica SE and the Schrade 'Beast'in 50/50, but I've considered on picking up a Plainedge Military, Spyderedge Endura, and Plainedge Native. This way I can have the best of both worlds--plainedge and spyderedge!

My picks are:
Work--
1. Military in Plainedge
2. Endura LtWt. in Spyderedge
Non-work--
1. Native in Plainedge
2. Delica LtWt. in Spyderedge

What do you Spyderholics think about my choices? I think that my non-work carry can be used without alarming the sheeple, while my work carry will stop just short of cutting down trees.;) I plan to get the Endura SE this week, while the Military and Native will have to wait. (My bank account can't take too much abuse, I got kids...you know how it is:rolleyes:.)

How many of you carry both the Plainedge and Spyderedge in your EDC??

I like to carry one serrated and one plain edge blade also. The serrated is always a Spyderco, but for the plain edge, I just use the blade on my multitool or SAK.

When not working, I carry a Harpy (mother of pearl Santa Fe edition) for emergency serrations if needed. My chore knife is a plain edge.

At work, both my emergency blade and multi-tool blade are serrated.

My Delica is the first fully serrated blade that I own, other than the plain edge on my Wave. I'm very happy with it, but there have been times that the Plainedge would have handled a chore better than the Spyderedge. Sometimes those serrations can just tear apart, instead of slicing, whatever it is that you are cutting.

Soon, this will no longer be a problem for me. :D

whenever i'm at work I do carry both plain and serrated. my usual edc was my Dalton Scalper plain and my G-10 Harpy serrated. I recently picked up a Plainedge Military and that has taked the place of my Scalper. If you're thinking of getting a Military I would highly recommend it. I had questions on an earlier thread about wether or not it was going to be too big but it actually does dissapear in my pocket. I still carry my Harpy as it it definately my favorite knife.
