This is a great folder. Thanks for putting these together for us Will!

I really am impressed with the 154 EDC. The production quality on the handle is excellent, nicely finished, no sharp points or edges. The frame lock is very solid, and the whole knife is rigid strong. The cutouts allow the strength and rigidity without excessive weight. The blade has a nifty finish on it, apparently tumbled, and then polished. Grind lines are still clear. Love it. Cuts great! Edge lasts a long time!

Like I have always felt about the 420HC EDC, $40 is too much for a so-so blade, but $70 (shipping included) is an extraordinary bargain for a folder with this quality. Rather than comparing to the $40 stainless steel handled folders of other manufacturers, the 154CM EDC compares very favorably to the Baby Sebenza in my opinion. Sure the Baby Seby is more precisely made, and maybe stronger, but not to the extent that you can appreciate the difference in anything but a theoretical way. In practical terms, the 154CM EDC is the BS's equal in every way, plus I like the EDC design better, and it is $200 lower in price.

I am extremely satisfied with this knife, something I say about very few folding knives of any price.

Thank you Mr. Harvey,

This is exactly the kind of comparison that I wanted to read about. I bought two 154cm Camillus EDC's and I am happy that between a baby sebbie and the EDC, that I am not missing that much. And for those Sebenzanistas that would flame me, just think that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I agree. These are very well made knives. Smooth, solid lockup, and no sharp corners. I like the way all of the cutouts line up on both sides of the handle and the pocket clip also. Nice size too. Thanks a lot. I can even see "1 of 500" through the slot cut in the left side of the handle.

Got a pair of 154CM EDCs and have just one question: When are we getting a bigger one?

Good knife. Great knife for the price!

Received my two recently and am pleased, despite a minor problem I found on the combo-edged one of the two. I addressed this in the Blade Discussion forum to Will, but the problem isnt really all that big, maybe its just my discerning knife-knuts eye! Anyway, I love the EDCs like everyone else does, and I agree that they are comparable to the baby Sebenzas in many ways, though at a fraction of the cost. For a production knife these are the best Ive encountered. Camillus is not only one of the oldest knife companies, they are also one of the best. They know a quality design when they see one. Hats off to Mr Ralph for this!

Absolutely agree. This is a terrific knife. I was concerned that it might be a bit small, but was pleasantly surprised that it was "just enough" as far as handle size goes. With average sized hands, I can get just about 4 fingers around the handle.

Congrats to all involved.

Yup, I'll throw in another "me too". Super design, great fit & finish, smooth action, strong lock -- it's more like a steal than simply a good value at its price point. I'm with Nimrod -- how about a larger one?

I just ordered one from 1SKS. I cant wait to get it. I handled teh standard version at a knife store yesterday and was surprised how good it felt. I generally like bigger knives, but this one felt great. Fit and finish were excellent also. Of course I had to get the 154CM version, and as an added bonus the 154CM blade is stonewashed. My favorite blade finish. Yes I think this will be my EDC.

Shootist: You will really like this knife. I also agree that I'd like to see it offered in a 3.5" blade size. But as it is, it fits the hand really well. Not surprising though--consider who designed it!

I've had mine for about a week now. Great knife! I was surprised at how much quality $70 could buy. Great grind, fit, finish, and function. No flaws.
Darrel,
The design is outstanding. Size is just right. Very useable and perfectly fits the "Every Day Carry" concept. This is the first production knife I have purchased in 2 years tho I have bought a number of customs. I may have to give serious consideration to one of your handmade versions in D2 or 420v.
Great Job!

The BF-community must be asleep at the wheel. That's ok, bought 2 more for family, 5 total. Let's see, 1% of the total, that DDR custom is getting closer...

I carried my 1SKS EDC for a week and liked it so much, I ordered two more last night. I don't think you can have too many of these.

I got my 'late' birthday present on Friday: EDC in 154cm!

Man this is a SWEEEEET folder for ~$70. It was a little gunky until I washed it off with some hot soapy water. I like 3" blades on folder so this is perfect size for my rightside carry (I'm a LEFTY).

Blade finish is real nice. Pretty sharp out of the box, too. WORTH buying IMHO!

I like the pocket clip and the postion on the screws. It gives a firm grip while drawing it out of the pocket.

Great collaboration w/ DDR, Camillus! Good too see you working hard, Will.

Baby Sebenza? What's that?

Igot my 154CM EDC yesterday. Man this is sweet. Talk about a bargain. As a matter of fact it has pushed me into getting the custom version. Now if we can just get Camillus to make a bigger one as well.

Happened to get my BF EDC two days ago.

I echo the commentary that this is one great knife for the money spent.

Thanks to Darrel for the inspired design.

Thanks to Will and Camillus to bring out this excellent consumer version.

Thanks to a fellow by the name of Turber of BladeForums for getting Darrel and Camillus together.

Thanks all for a design that will be a classic...

One very satisfied user...

I have to agree with everyone, this is a great knife for the money! While I am not a big fan of the recurved blade, this knife was designed with it and looks great. Kudos to DDR!

Mine is perfect, solid lock-up, no blade play, and centered blade. I love the clip and the vents are cool.

Nice knife, it would probably get more attention if a BM940 hadn't arrived at the same time...and a small Sebenza the day before.

Guess I'll have to tighten my belt for a while...

Got mine today, too. Have to say I am impressed. Nice size for EDC, too. I rather like how the slots on the pocket clip align with the scale slots. Nice bit of heft to it, too for such a small knife.

Blade lies in the center, no wobble...smooth opening.

Great job all involved!
